NORTHLAND Pride Series is a super high performance, heavy-duty diesel engine oil formulated to provide maximum performance and protection in the most demanding on and off highway diesel engine applications. NORTHLAND Pride Series exceeds the American Petroleum Institute's (API) diesel engine oil service classification CJ-4. Pride Series is recommended for use in contemporary diesel engine applications utilizing Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), EGR, and Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) emission control technologies.
NORTHLAND Pride Series engine oil utilizes state-of-the-art additive technology unique in its ability to maintain highly effective detergent and dispersant performance throughout the most demanding service intervals. This delicate additive system balance provides robust reserve alkalinity (TBN). The superior performance of Pride Series is crucial to the protection of advanced engine emissions management systems and the control of detrimental engine wear, deposits and oil performance degradation.
NORTHLAND Pride Series engine oils have earned an industry reputation for excellent engine cleanliness and reduced oil consumption. This has been achieved by the use of unique dispersant chemistry which keeps oil contaminates in suspension and away from engine parts until filtration or routine drain service removes these harmful contaminates. NORTHLAND Pride Series is especially formulated to provide the superior resistance to high temperature oil oxidation and robust wear performance required for contemporary diesel engine design. The exceptional quality and performance of NORTHLAND Pride Series is documented by numerous Original Equipment Manufacturers’ (OEM) product performance qualifications including: Caterpillar ECF-3, Cummins CES 20086, Detroit Diesel 93K222, Daimler 228.31, Ford WSS-M2C171-F1, Mack EO-S4.5, Volvo VDS-4.5, and the ACEA E9-12 oil performance specifications.
NORTHLAND Pride Series engine oils are approved and recommended for use in Ford vehicles equipped with 7.3L and 6.0L Power Stroke® diesel engines, and meets the Ford diesel engine oil warranty and specification requirements of the Ford WSS-M2C171-F1 engine oil specification.
NORTHLAND Pride Series engine oils are formulated for the extremes of climate and operation found in Northern regions. These multi-grade engine oils utilize a superior performing viscosity-index improver, which provides exceptional high temperature, high shear performance without sacrificing critical cold temperature pumpability. Laboratory and engine test data proves the superiority of Pride Series for quick lubrication in cold temperature operations for the control of engine wear during engine start-up.
As engine operating temperatures, combustion pressures, and turbo-charger boost pressure increase, good lubricant shear stability becomes critical for preventing premature engine wear. NORTHLAND Pride Series delivers both outstanding high temperature, high shear performance for consistent lubricant film strength, and minimal permanent shear loss for "stay-in-grade" performance, even in extended service operations.
Statement of Warrantability- When used in accordance with original equipment manufacturers’ recommendations for lubricant selection, viscosity grade and maintenance recommendations, Northland Pride Series Premium Diesel Engine Oil meets or exceeds the warranty and performance requirements of all domestic and most import diesel engine manufacturers.
NORTHLAND Pride Series 15W40 and 10W30 engine oils are highly recommended for use in diesel engine applications where API CJ-4, CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, CH-4, CG-4, CF-4, CF engine oils are specified. These oils meet and exceed the performance and warranty requirements of most Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Ford, Daimler-Benz, John Deere, Komatsu, Navistar International, Mack, Volvo as well as many import manufacturers of diesel engines. Pride Series is not recommended for use in gasoline engines, railroad, aircraft and gas-oil mixture applications. Follow original equipment manufacturers’ recommendation for appropriate viscosity grade selection and use.
